Well. Yes. IT WAS HOT.
By far the hottest ever Meredith. All three days above 40. Still 30 degrees at midnight. Not a breath of wind. Just oppressive heat, all day and all of the night.
Thankyou and well done to all who survived this test of endurance. Lordy what a stinker. Perversely the most respite from the sun during the day came from the smoke haze from bushfires down Colac way. Giving The Sweet Sixteenth Meredith an eerie orangey smoky vibe at times.
Of course there were some astonishingly terrific performances from the stage – The Soundtrack Of Our Lives and Cornelius come to mind right away.
Hope you somehow managed to keep your cool.
